A spectacular wine in the bottle while on the label, Charleston, SC artist Mary Ann Cope captures AuburnJames' young Napa the Retriever and reminds us just how much joy our furry friends bring to our lives. Mary's impressionistic interpretation, Winery Pup, captures Napa as she takes a break from supervising us on bottling day. Here's to the pets that bring so much happiness to our lives. Cheers!

Our 1001 Proprietary Red Wine represents the best of Napa Valley while being produced in the style of Left Bank Bordeaux houses. The increased use of Malbec gives it a youthful presentation. It is a medium acid, medium tannin, full bodied red wine with pronounced aromatics of black cherry, currants, cinnamon, and beautiful spice notes. On the palate you will enjoy raspberry, chocolate, and a hint of licorice with a lingering finish. Delicious!
Emulating the bold statement that famed automotive designer Gordon Buehrig made with his 1936 Auburn Boat Tail Speedster, AuburnJames showcases it's immensely popular proprietary blend "Speedster." Like its namesake ghosted on the label, this winemaker selection is a powerful, complex and sophisticated wine. This wine is a head nod to a time when weekends included an open air drive into the countryside with close friends for rich wine and fire grilled alfresco cuisine, stimulated by a powerful core with unparalleled styling.
The wine mimics the sleek and elegant yet powerful style of the original 1935 vehicle whose namesake it is adorned with. Full bodied and complex, the sophistication of this wine is based in the rich and sumptuous Napa Valley Merlot, complimented by the structure of the powerful Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Utilizing the other three Bordeaux varieties, this wine strikes a balance of luxury and power.
